Problem: '98 wont start all the time
I have a 1998 Sunfire 2.2L automatic.
I turn the ignition and I get all my accessories but the engine does nothing, not even attempt to turn over. And so far all but twice all i've had to do to start the car is pop the hood and "jiggle" the battery cables, slam the hood and the car starts(My dad is convinced this method works only by coincidence and doesnt do anything problem related). The two times that didnt work the car wouldn't start until it was a)jumped or b)waited 2 hours. So far we have cleared all these from the list: battery, battery cables, battery connections, ignition, starter, and solenoid. All of which have been replaced.
This problem is proving near impossible to solve because it is intermitent, I'll have the problem be fine for a week and it happens three times in one day, then go a day, then it'll happen and so on. I've had this problem for about 2 months. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
