Default 02 Sunfire HVAC Help!

Hello all -newbie here. My womans Sunfire has been a great car. But the damn blower switch hasnt been so great. The fan (blower) only works on the 3rd and 4th settings. This happened awhile back while it was still under warranty. Not sure if its the same thing. Is it just the switch, or a resistor? Help me out-how do i replace it? Anyone experience this before? TIA

Default RE: 02 Sunfire HVAC Help!

Hi,
I had a similar thing in my car as well.......Its just a replacement of resisor board resting just behind (towards the firewall) the blower motor on the passenger side. It is required to remove a plastic cover at the bottom of the glove compartment to access the motor or this resistor pack. Its held there withtwo 7mm screws which are easy to figure out. I ended up removing my blower motor to get an easy access (4 or 5 screws which are very easy to access) becauseI didnt had the very right tool to reach that tight location.
Gud luck

The blower seems to be not very reliable on the sunfire, pontiac should have made some mods to put this parts working really well.
