Default Retro fitting 3800 V6

I want to retro fit a 1996 firebird 3800 into an early 60's tempest but the reprogramming and wiring for the task is looking expensive. I'm starting think of manifolds and carbs. Does anyone haveideas on what setups I could use? Or a source that can change the stock setup to work for less than $500?

And I work in a part store I tried eveything but its going to get pretty expense... but if I come across any ideas I will sure let u know... I had problems just finding that enine used...
