Default Newbie Alert.

Just started prep work on my 1993 Trans Am... Tree sap got the better of it at one point in it's life and I'm tired of having such a hot car with such a crap paint job.

It is equipped with the 6-Speed transmission. In the city I average about 22 MPG. Sometimes when I'm feeling 19 again it gets about 16 MPG. With gas prices what they've been I feel OLD.

What can I say about it... It has 155K miles and is all original. The interior is in good shape, and the engine is strong and doens't burn oil.

I think this care is rare both in year and paint scheme. There are 1993 Trans Am's on the road but very few 6-Spd's are left. Of all the 6-Spd equipped cars, a good majority found telephone poles, performed an air ballets, or just plain assaulted the rear end of somethng stopped. Given that, the factory paint is high gloss black, and the bird, lettering, and decals are all red. I have only seen the two color scheme one other time in my life and that was on a convertible. White car, black lettering. Not as hot as red on black!

Even with the terrible paint I'm approached by strangers who wow the car. Something about it strikes people. I've had people come into where I work just to ask if the car has a 6-spd. They can't find one. I looked on auto trader and there's not many. Few under 10K.

and that's why I'm here. I'm going to ask just how rare this car might be.
