Default Montana Transmission Problems

Hi, first post here. Looking for some help with my 2001 Montana with 95,000kms (60,00miles) on it.

Whenmoving offfrom a stop the engine will rev up to maybe 2000-2500rpm before the van starts to move and when it does it is with a clunk. This just started yesterday after discovering a coolant leak from a pipe just below the radiator cap. There is a fair bit of coolant on the driveway.

Could this transmission problem be related to the coolant leak in any way or is it just a coincedence that they both appeared at the same time?

Do the Montana's generally have transmission problems? It had a transmission service just a few weeks ago.

thank-you

me again. I just did some checking under the hood this afternoon in daylight. It is not cooloant, but transmission fluid that is leaking. It is dripping down on the ground at the front passenger side right below the headlight. Seem like a strange location for transmissions fluid to be leaking tome.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Please.

thanks

Geez, sorry nobody picked up on this yet! Guess you've had it resolved by now. Was it a leak in the transmission fluid cooling line? You may have the 'towing pkg' which, I believe, adds a transmission fluid cooling radiator up front with, of course, it's attendant metal and/or fiber pipes going between radiator and transmission.

If you drop by the board, let us know what happened ...bet there are some others!
