New out of the box AC Delco 41-940 Professional Double Platinium plugs are all pre gapped at approx .50 not .60 as in the specs.
Replacing them in a 1999 Venture. Supposedly you should not re-gap them. Should they be gapped at .60 or what?
New plugs look cheezier than same plug number with different UPC code.
These have AX and either 1C or 1D stamped in them and the ground electrode looks inferier to the previous plugs with the same 41-940 number. Box still has the 19244474 number on it and the UPC code on each plug is 707773616260. Originally got 2 older plugs with a different UPC and a niceer looking ground electrode which were gapped at .60.
What do I do with these? Re-gap them or install them as they are?
