Grand Prix This long running model has seen many changes, from a large RWD car, to a smaller RWD car, to a small FWD car, to a large FWD car, and with its available supercharged engines, and powerful V8s, it has never left the limelight as one of the most popular cars in America.

Default 90' starting issue

Okay, so I'm in the process of buying a 1990 grand prix from a friend from work. He was going to sell it to me for 800, but seeing as how it's having problems starting and the mech he took it to quoted him around 630 bucks to fix, he just doesn't want to put more work/money into it. With that being said, he's lowered his asking price to 300. A good friend of mine from the camarosource forums told me a week or two ago that checking out the ignition module would be a good idea and I think the mech agreed with that as his quoted diagnosis of the problem was "no ing pulse at module. crank sensor sig on, but no good" That would hopefully be somewhere between 30-130 in parts wouldn't it? If so? I was hoping someone might tell me how much work would be involved in doing the work myself. Is it a pretty quick straight forward job? or do I have to crack her open to get to anything? I wouldn't think so, but this is my first experience with the car so yeah.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Eddie.
