2001 GrandPrix GT drivetrain noise
hey, i just got a new 2001 grandprix gt (used but new to me) with 74,000 miles on it. it has the 3800 engine and everything on it is great...except once im over about 30 mph, i hear a low whirring type noise that sounds like its coming from the tranny, driveshafts, or possibly the wheel bearing, and it sounds like its only on the right side. if i go over about 65 you cant hear it anymore, and the faster you go in between there, the faster the pulsing of the whirring goes. im not too sure what this is, cause i have a '00 buick park avenue and a '90 bonneville, both with the 3800, and neither of them had this problem. any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks

ok ive narrowed it down a little....i took it all apart, and found the pads and rotors shot, so i did those on both sides, and it still has the problem. i have noticed that the whirring sounds like it is coming from the center of the vehicle, not really just the right side. i still cant figure it out, so any help would be great! thanks
