Default Fan?

Hi there..for quite a while now I've had problems with my fac for ac/heat. When I turn it to "1" or "2", I can hear the click like it turned on, but nothing blows out. When I turn it to "3", whether its on a/c or heat, it turns on to the "3" setting. "4" and "5" work perfect as well. It has to be something with the fan, but none of my car-savy guys know whats wrong.. Any suggestions?

Default RE: Fan?

had the same problme only it was 4 and 5 that didn't work and the rest worked ok.

My problem was the blower motor resistor. its a small computer mother board looking thing that wire in to the blower motor. costs about 25$ and isnt too hard to reaplce.

If you get down under the passenger side and look up in there and find it, you will be able to see if its melted or not.

mine was very obviously melted and we fixed it and now its done again, and again its very obvous to see that it was melted.

same thing with my gm truck, GM doesn't make good blower motors for some reason.
