Default heater doesn't

"90 6000, replaced bad heater core. Now heat through core, but still no heat through heater system. Fan works, controls won't change where air blows. Some to windshield, some to floor which is fine. Heat control moves door control on heater box, but when placed in cold position with fan running, it sounds like air flow has been shut off. I just need some advice on how to get heat through the blower system. The 6000 is just a winter car, so any cutting or modifying of heater system will be OK. Thank You

Default RE: heater doesn't

so some heat blows through the defrost area, and to the floor.but not the middle? i know that dodges had problems with "blend door actuators", which were what directed the air out the middle vents.

Not exactly, heater core is getting hot, but I cannot get the airflow directed across it to flow heated air through the heater vent system. In other words, no matter where the temp control is located, it still blows cool air, not warm air. I tried taking the heater box apart and manually trying to manipulate the doors to try to get heat through the system, but to no avail. I finally just cut the bottom off of the box that covers the heater core, we get some heat, which is better than no heat. BUT, we still have no heat through the defrost so the windshield does not thaw. Oh well. Thank You
