Default Headlight Defect

Anyone else fail inspection for water in the headlight of your 97-03 Grand Prix or Grand Am? Believe it or not, it was a factory defect with the glueing process, causing water leaks and can even help the lens fall off your car! Most of the time, GM will replace them, but if not they are available around the web at a retail of $75 and up

odd that you mention that...when i worked as a tech, i did PA state inspections, and on Many occassions i had to fail your type of GP because of headlight covers that were just gone...

so i've heard. ive also heard horror stories about GM attempting to just re-glue them with silicone, or telling people to drive with the lights on for 4 hours.

no, i dont think its EVERY GP, its just whatever glue they used in a particular point in manufacturing that does effect 97-03 GPs
