Default Engine Swap 1995 Engine into 1996

HI guys!

This is my first post - and I have a big q pertaining to doing an engine swap. I bought a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am GT - with the 3.1 L v-6 motor in it. the motor though had locked up. I got the car cheap - and a junk yard here has an engine out from a 1995 Buick Skylark The motor is the same, but the guy at the junk yard said something about sensors and such needing to be swapped. Anyone have any idea about this? Will I be able to drop the new motor in directly?

thanks in advance

Sunny

another car electronics headache, gonna hate this part whenever you intend to swap parts with the same manufacturer, they should have made it standard to all its motors.

I think you should have a relatively simple time. The only difference might be a few sensors yes because in 1996 cars changed over to OBD II
