Default heated seat problem

My wife's 2002 Bonneville has the heated leather seat option. This past weekend the passenger seat heater stopped working. When you push the button on the dash, it lights, then quickly goes out. I found a black box under the front of the seat that makes a relay like noise when the button is pushed and clicks off. Any suggestions on what to buy or do next without taking it to the Pontiac garage? Sure would appreciate anyones input.
Thanks.

Its most likley thecusion coveritself the element is built into the cover they go open circut. Gm had a repair kit for some cars witch is cheaper than replaceing the leather seat cover.

Any additional thought on this? I have the same issue with my 03. Do I contact my local dealer for this repair kit? Is it something that can be fixed by a non-mechanic or electrical wizard?

TIA

I have a 1997 bonneville sse. Both seats went out the same time. Does anyone know where the fuse is and the relay so i can check them? I dont belive both elements went out at the same time. I lost both switch lights at the same time too. These seatshave the turn on /off switch right below and in front of both seats on the bottom of both seats. Any help appreciated thanks!!!
