1996 with swapped engine idles REAL high!
Hi:
I just got done putting in an engine into my 1996 Pontiac Grand AM GT. the engine is from a 1995 Buick Skylark or something like that.
The engine sounds good and the car starts right away.. but the engine idles super high - it idles at about 3500 RPM and it feels like the bottom of the motor is gonna fall off!!
Anyway the previous owner had bought a spare computer he gave it to me when i bought the car. My question is - can a faulty computer cos the car to idle high and also how does one go about progamming a new computer, as the previous owner mentioned something about this?
Thanks in advance and i will be happy to post more details if needed
