Default 1964 GTO windshields metal trim.

Hello,
I am new to this site. Can anyone tell me how to remove the metal trim around the front and rear windows of my 1964 GTO? I must re-seal the windows and do not want to crack them. I do EVERYTHING myself!!

The tool that cuz68 refers to is a simple hook shaped tool widely available. Using it one has to be very careful. You should insert the tool under the trim molding & very slowly turn the tool to release the clip towards the glass. It doesn't take much movement either, maybe just 1/8" or so to release the clip. What makes it a bit tricky for a novice is if you twist the tool too much the hook end can chip & ruin a perfectly good windshield. Same goes for the backglass except there if the glass is chipped it will self destruct into a thousand pieces.
