Default New but Old Benneville upgrade?


Hey all im not a very knowledgable person when it comes to cars and how they work or even how to find out the specs on them so i thought id come here and ask....lol hope you all dont mind.

Well heres the deal i just got a nice 1986 Bonneville given to me my by my good ol grandma and i LOVE the way it feels compared to my current car Sooo i was thinking of putting some money into it and makin it a really nice car BUT i also would like to upgrade her and was wondering if anyone out there could help me out with ideas on what i should look into about makin it better. I mean i have no idea howmuch horsepower it has or what kind of suspension it has or anything like that so yah pretty much any info on it would be awesome, and i would love to hear everyones ideas on what i could do to her to sup her up im open to everything lol but i dont wanna spend like 15 grand on it raight away its more of something i wanna do a couple things a year on and slowly build it up.....Well i hope that wasnt to garbled for you to understand and THANKS in advance to all replyers
